4. ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:

European Youth Centre Břeclav is non-profitable nongovernmental organization founded by young people for young people in 2007. Our main aims and activities are informing and raising awareness of the European Union and its educational programs; promoting self-fulfilment and personal development of young people through educational programmes of the European Union and developing non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, international cooperation and active civil society.

 

5. AIMS DESCRIPTION:

  • to raise awareness about the European Union and opportunities that the EU provides to young people, particularly about educational programmes of the EU
  • development of non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, international cooperation in the field of youth
  • to support active civil society and the concept of volunteering

 

6. ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION:

All our activities are aimed at young people (aged 13+) and those who are working with youth.

Activities on the European level

  • sending young people and youth workers to international abroad projects within the frame of the Youth in Action (Erasmus+: Youth in Action), EuroMED Youth, Europe for Citizens and Grundtvig programmes

  • organising international projects within the Youth in Action (Erasmus+: Youth in Action) programme

  • establishing international networks of and contacts between organisations focused on young people and cooperating with them

 

Activities on local level

  • doing presentations on secondary schools about the EU and possibilities that provides to youth (all above presenting the Youth in Action or Erasmus+ programme)IMAG0117

  • organising and implementing various leisure-time and volunteering activities, workshops etc.jaroska

  • creating and publishing own promotional and information materials

 

 

7. EXPERIENCES IN EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK:

Since 2007 to the present (2014) we have been partners/have sent approximately 600 young people to more than 200 international projects within the frame of the Youth in Action, Europe for Citizens, EuroMED Youth and Grundtvig programmes. Since 2012 we have been accredited for sending volunteers to EVS. So far we have sent 2 girls for long term EVS projects (11 and 12 months). For details please check http://eycb.eu/en/stranky/2033-passed-evs-projects.
