4. ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION:
The Leisure Time Centre Lužánky is a region school institution for leisure time activities of all age groups and social groups. In the season 2013/2014 Lužánky celebrates already 65 years of its existence and so it is the oldest and at the same time the biggest institution of its art in the Czech Republic. It provides pedagogical, educational and recreational activities of children, young people and adults – it creates conditions for satisfaction of interests in all sorts of branches, from sport to art activities, from technics and science to socioscientific subjects.
5. AIMS DESCRIPTION:
Our mission is to encourage positive personality formation, namely by creating and offering space and conditions for leisure time activities and education of the general public, especially children and youth. We also support integration of foreigners living in Brno into our society through offering them art classes in english. Other activities also include work with mentally or socialy disabled children and youth.
6. ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION:
Nearly 11 000 participants from pre-school children to adults find their programme more then 600 hobby groups and classes every year. We prepare over 400 assorted occasional actions for the Brno public during the school year. You also find clubs, clinics and day-care for children Maceška in our deposit stations. We hold about 150 holiday actions from classical and town camps to classes for adults every summer. We have also prepared a large offer for primary and secondary schools, whether these are educational programmes, school trips or classes for pedagogues accredited by MŠMT.

8. INTEREST IN FUTURE ERASMUS+ PROJECTS:
- EVS: receiving, sending, coordinating.
- Art activities: We would like to getinvolved in co-operation with an international organization of similar focus and to expand our present project ONE LIGHT. It is a joint presentation of a worldwide known photographer Jindrich ŠTREIT and his large format pictures, together with the issue of mentally handicapped people and ceramictiles made by mentally handicapped people. - Sport and outdoor activities: Exchange of experience how to do the courses of teamwork, how to do the start-up courses for first-graders at high schools. Rope centre – teaching the construction of rope activities – a homogenous group from Spain for training – ca.oneweek. Lužánky (Lesná) offers:
o Three kinds of teambuilding – from the bases up to the assessment centre
o Training „the programme leader – working with the long-term game
o Adaptation courses:
1st grade- parents/teacher/children- a life change for the child and the parent
6th grade- middle school or transition to the 1st grade of highschool – setting the rules; safe function in the class room community1st grade of universities and colleges- teambuilding
